Philanthropy plays a major role in the exceptional and compassionate senior care at Benefis. Thanks to your generosity, the Benefis Health System Senior Services program is robust in each of our three senior campuses. We’re able to offer our residents a continuum of care so they can stay within Benefis as their needs change.
The Senior Services Fund also supports improvements for our residents in Benefis Memory Care. In 1991, Keith and Olive Ario established a charitable trust within Benefis Foundation to help provide care to those with Alzheimer’s disease. In 2013, donors contributed more than $800,000 for the Benefis Memory Care Unit project to create a new unit designed for residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. It includes 32 spacious private rooms, a large activities room, outdoor garden, country style dining area, and a calming tranquility room.
Donations to the Senior Services Fund also support the Grandview campus, which provides long-term care, memory care, and physical rehabilitation along with assisted living apartments for singles and couples.
