Introduction
Dr. Tysen Timmer is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in partial joint replacement, total joint revision, and total joint replacement, including surgeries utilizing the Zimmer-Biomet ROSA Knee System. In fact, Dr. Timmer was an early user of the robotic technology during his training, and he worked with some of the people who helped develop ROSA.
Helping patients recover from sports injuries is another passion of Dr. Timmer’s. As a former University of Montana football player, he suffered his own orthopedic injuries on the field. This inspired Dr. Timmer to specialize in orthopedics, as he has literally been in his patients’ shoes. He is dedicated to helping patients regain function and mobility in their lives, whether it’s to participate in sports, outdoor activities, or day-to-day life.
“It might be getting back to shopping for their own groceries or playing with their grandkids,” he says. “It’s important to me to serve the community I grew up in.”
That community includes the entire region served by Benefis and its community hospitals.
In his free time, Dr. Timmer enjoys all the “typical Montana” outdoor activities that many of his patients also look forward to enjoying again.
