Hospitalist Care
Leading your care while you’re in the hospital
The hospitalists at Benefis Health System are board-certified physicians and advanced practice clinicians who provide 24-hour inpatient care while you are in the hospital. Most are trained in internal medicine, while other specialize in other fields of medicine.
Hospitalists work with you and other members of your care team – such as nurses, therapists, surgeons, and others – to coordinate your care plan while you stay in the hospital.
Your hospitalist will visit you in your room each day to check on your condition and answer any questions or concerns you have. We are committed to helping you and your family understand your care and listening to your input. At Benefis, you are the most important member of your care team.
When you are ready to leave the hospital, your hospitalist communicates with your primary care physician to provide an overview of your stay and instructions for further care.
