If You’re Concerned

Parents are often the first to sense that something doesn’t seem right with their child. Perhaps he or she doesn’t respond to sounds as you would expect. Or maybe your baby has more trouble crawling or moving than other similar-aged children.

If you think there might be an issue, it’s important to speak with your child’s provider. Problems with eating, hearing, movement, or speech may affect how children learn and relate with others. These issues can occur regardless of intelligence.

Often, children can overcome these difficulties. By acting quickly, you may lessen any long-term effects on your child and improve your child’s odds for a positive outcome.
