A Team Approach to Care
Your care team includes a variety of people who take care of all your medical, social, nutritional, and practical needs during your stay. Your core medical team of hospitalists, registered nurses, and nursing assistants work with a variety of specialists to meet your medical needs, including:
- Clinical social workers
- Pharmacists
- Physical and occupational therapists
- Respiratory therapists
- Surgical staff
Your team also includes nonclinical staff, including housekeeping and nutrition services staff.
To make it easier to understand the role of each of your caregivers, hospital staff wear color-coded uniforms. If you have a question about someone’s role in your care, don’t hesitate to ask or talk to your nurse.
