Whether you’re coming to Benefis for a well checkup, a procedure, or hospital stay, we want you to feel prepared and have the best experience possible. Keep these tips in mind for your visit and always ask questions when they arise – you can do this by calling your provider’s office or through your Patient Portal account.
Finding Your Way
Provider Office Visits
Arrive with photo ID, proof of insurance if applicable, and a list of current medications.
Procedures
You will receive advance instructions for your outpatient or inpatient procedure, which may include:
- Stopping certain medications up to a week before your procedure
- Checking with your insurance company to find out if pre-authorization is required
- Fasting for a designated period of time before your procedure
- Planning for a responsible adult to drive you home
- Completing paperwork or pre-registering for your hospital stay or services
