Nurse Residency Program

Recent graduates can use our Nurse Residency program to transition into clinical practice. This program gives you a chance to sharpen your skills in areas such as critical thinking and evidence-based decision making. You’ll build confidence as you learn from and connect with experienced nurses, and incorporate our policies, procedures, and standards of care into your practice. Learn more.

Professional Growth Program

This voluntary program is designed to recognize and promote our nurses who are responsible for delivering direct patient care in the acute care hospital. It has four levels:

1. Novice
2. Proficient
3. Expert

RN Preceptor Program

All of our new nurses are partnered with preceptors. These experienced RNs offer guidance and assistance through the orientation process and remain available with advice and coaching as needed.

Professional Certification

Benefis offers financial reimbursement for professional certification programs that further support your professional goals.

Continuing Education

Through a variety of educational venues, including on-site workshops as well as off-site classes, we provide you with opportunities and resources to grow as far as possible in your profession.

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, STABLE neonatal care, Trauma Nursing Core Course, and the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
• Basic dysrhythmia and 12-lead ECG interpretation courses
• Leadership courses such as Crucial Conversations and Crucial Accountability
